🔒 The short version: Shrink44 never uploads, stores, or transmits your images or PDFs. All processing happens entirely inside your browser. We have no server that ever sees your files.
Shrink44 (shrink44.pages.dev) is a 100% client-side tool. Image compression, resizing, format conversion, PDF compression, and OCR text extraction all run inside your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API, PDF.js, Tesseract.js, and jsPDF. Your files never leave your device.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the following: your images, PDFs, extracted text, personal information, or any file you process with Shrink44. We have no database, no user accounts, and no file upload endpoint.
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-respecting analytics tool — to understand page views and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not share data with advertisers. Aggregate statistics only (page views, browser types, country-level data).
Shrink44 is free and supported by display advertising via Monetag. Monetag may use cookies or local storage to serve relevant ads and measure campaign performance. Please see Monetag's Privacy Policy for full details. You can opt out of personalised ads through your browser settings or an ad blocker.
Shrink44 loads JavaScript libraries from CDN providers (jsDelivr, cdnjs / Cloudflare, Google Fonts). These CDNs may log your IP address as standard CDN operation for security and abuse prevention. We do not control these logs. Libraries used: JSZip, jsPDF, Tesseract.js, PDF.js, Google Fonts.
Shrink44 itself sets no cookies. Monetag advertising may set cookies for ad personalisation. Google Fonts may set cookies for font loading optimisation.
Shrink44 does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to store user data. The service worker caches app assets (HTML, JS, manifest) for offline use — no user files are cached.
Shrink44 does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The tool is intended for general audiences.
Because Shrink44 does not collect or process personal data, the obligations under GDPR (EU), NDPR (Nigeria), and similar regulations are minimal. We do not transfer personal data internationally. For advertising-related data, please refer to Monetag's data processing agreements.
We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top reflects any changes. Continued use of Shrink44 after changes constitutes acceptance.
